NATURAL HERKIMER DIAMOND QUARTZ CLUSTER

From the now closed " Ace of Diamonds " Mine in Middleville area of Herkimer, NY this beautiful cluster shows some textbook features you would want to see. The black hydrocarbon core branches off into a main interlocking section of crystals that are awesome when you consider the style of growth they had. When I shine UV on it to check for reconstruction I do not see any evidence of any but I do see a little glowing section in the crystal that could be petroleum or another organic matter trapped inside that glows blue / white
