OPALIZED WOOD FROM NEVADA

Some of the most sought after opal you can find is in the United States right here in Denio, Nevada. This piece comes from the Royal Peacock Mine out of NV and was collected back in the 1960's. Finding a piece from here that has a small amount of play of color is fantastic but even better when it's dry as most of these opals must be kept in water due to their instability. Finding a dark black core is even better.
